About Versitext
Before
launching Versitext, I taught high-school English for nine years.
During that time my wife Heidi and I have stayed busy raising four
boys and a girl. I earned a Bachelors in Communications from the University of Michigan and from Michigan State University received a bachelors in English and a masters in Curriculum and Teaching.
Writer Annie Dillard once asked a friend, a happy painter, how he first came to his craft. He answered, "I liked the smell of the paint."
My answer to that question is similar: I became a writer because I love sentences.
I also love the audacity of small business, of risking much to create something that wasn't there before. If I can help a business realize value through the words it uses, I’ve spent my day well.
You can see what I like to write--when I'm not writing business copy--at GloryYarn.com.

Owner, Versitext
THE
RIGHT WORDS ADD VALUE.
Every
project we undertake is approached with this conviction--not the soft value of
aesthetic appeal, but the bottom-line value that usability, credibility, and
clarity of purpose bring.
To help our clients realize value in the words they use, Versitext
employs such strategies as...
- proposition analysis
(of value, identity, and principle)
- active-voice
construction ratios
- eye-scan-pattern
formatting
- rhetorical sequencing and development
- sentence structure and variety
Versitext
can improve the value of presented text. The writing won’t just sound better—it
will be more valuable, communicating your message more clearly and compelling
your reader to action more convincingly.
Our approach to the written word is conservative, but we don't
stand on convention at the expense of clarity. In both content and form, a
Versitext document will meet the closest, most demanding scrutiny.
